Color Coated Coil Or Prepainted Galvalume Steel Coils 914mm-1500mm Width
Introduction
Pre-Painted Galvanized Steel Coil: An Ideal Material for Construction and Automotive Applications
The pre-painted galvalumed steel coils are a product obtained by subjecting a hot-dipped galvalumed steel sheet to a surface chemical treatment, applying organic coating on the surface, followed by baking and curing.

Substrate Classification:
There are three main types of color-coated coil substrate: hot galvanized substrate, hot aluminized zinc substrate and electroplated zinc substrate. Hot-dip galvanized substrate is prepared by dipping hot-dip galvanized sheet into hot-dip galvanized solution and forming zinc coating on its surface. Hot plated aluminum zinc substrate is made by hot dipping a mixture of zinc and aluminum (such as 55% aluminum and 45% zinc) in hot plated aluminum zinc solution on the hot galvanized substrate, and then baking and curing the hot galvanized substrate after hot dipping.
Coating Structure:
Color coated coil coating structure is mainly divided into two types: 2/1 and 2/1M. 2/1 coating structure refers to the upper and lower surfaces are coated twice and baked twice. 2/1M coating structure refers to the upper and lower surfaces are coated twice and baked once. The choice of coating structure depends on the environment and application.
PPGL Advantages & Applications
1.Corrosion Resistance : PPGL has excellent corrosion resistance due to the addition of aluminum and zinc to the coating.
2.Aesthetic Appeal : It comes in a wide range of colors and finishes, making it suitable for various architectural and decorative applications.
3.Durability : The pre-painted coating enhances the durability of the galvalume substrate, ensuring a longer lifespan.
4.Easy Maintenance : PPGL requires minimal maintenance and is easy to clean, maintaining its appearance over time.
PPGL is commonly used in the construction industry for roofing, wall cladding, and other architectural applications. It is also used in the manufacturing of appliances, automotive parts, and various industrial products due to its corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal.
Standard Seaworthy Export Packing:
3 layers of packing, inside is kraft paper, water plastic film is in the middle and outside GI steel sheet to be covered by steel strips with lock.
1.Export seaworthy packing: a water proof paper + an inhibitor film + a steel sheet cover with steel edge protectors and sufficient steel straps
2.Packaging detail:as customer's requirements
FAQ:
Q1: How durable is PPGL roofing/cladding sheet?
A1: PPGL sheets last over 20 years with proper installation and mild cleaning. The galvalume coating and premium paint provides long-term corrosion resistance.
Q2: What type of climates can PPGL sheets be used in?
A2: PPGL is suitable for all 4 seasons and can withstand extreme temperatures, humidity, rainfall etc. making it ideal for most countries/regions.
Q3: How much weight can PPGL cladding panels hold?
A3: PPGL sheets have high strength-to-weight ratios. 0.5mm panels can safely hold 35-50kg/sqm static loads under normal conditions.
Q4: What maintenance is required for PPGL cladding/roofs over time?
A4: Periodic washing using a soft brush and mild detergent is sufficient to retain the looks of PPGL for decades.
Q5:What is the difference between PPGL and PPGI?
A5:PPGL stands for Pre-Painted Galvalume, which uses a galvalume substrate (a combination of galvanized steel and aluminum-zinc alloy coating). PPGI stands for Pre-Painted Galvanized Iron, which uses a galvanized steel substrate. The choice between the two depends on specific application requirements and environmental conditions.
Q6:What are the standard thicknesses and widths available for PPGL?
A6:PPGL is available in various thicknesses, typically ranging from 0.15mm to 1.5mm. The standard widths can vary based on manufacturers and customer requirements.
Q7:How does PPGL perform in coastal or high-corrosion environments?
A7:PPGL's aluminum and zinc coating provides excellent corrosion resistance, making it well-suited for coastal or high-corrosion environments. However, it's important to consider the specific environmental conditions and consult with the supplier for appropriate product selection.
